The first 3 pictures are from yesterday ~ practicing our short vowel sounds!

Following opening exercises and morning jobs, Aiden led us through calendar time. We learned our first LONG VOWEL sound today ... the sound of "long a" and learned that usually another letter tells the "a" to say its own name (as in "say" and "gate" ) We will work with the "long a" sound all of next week, to establish the rules for all of the long vowels.

At Math time some students worked on their geometric structures while others completed some 3-D skill-sheets.

This afternoon in the gym the children worked with "rubber" arrows and then practiced following them from the straight end to the pointed end!

French class with Mme. V. ended the day!

Our selection of floor puzzles came out a free choice time today!
