A Terrific Fall Day!
{Days like this could go on for at least another month!}

Opening ex. in the gym as usual! The morning routine is going very smoothly now!

In the classroom, Arya was leader for calendar and delivering the attendance message to Mrs. Burke!

At Math time we started to learn about patterns. Our new October calendar has an AB Pattern ~ that is the “teacher name” for it! The children are also learning it can be called by it’s “colour name” (orange, white, orange, white) or by it’s “object name” (pumpkin, ghost, pumpkin, ghost).  There is lots of new vocabulary to learn!

I read the story called Franklin’s Thanksgiving today. We had Sound Pail for the “t” sound ... contributions from almost everyone! Hurray! The children finished their Tricky Turkey stick puppets and also worked on a Thanksgiving activity.

We learned some new “footwork skills” at Gym time
(ie: hopping on one foot, skipping, side-slides, etc.!)

The day ended with French. Please occasionally check out Mme. V.’s blog on the school website!
