A Happy Wednesday to Everyone Reading this Blog!
We started our day in the gym. Santino was our leader today and had the
children walking a backward “Follow-the-leader!” Well done everyone! In the
classroom, he also did a good job with calendar routines.
Today we reviewed why we have Thanksgiving and learned about cornucopias
and their symbolic meaning of plentiful! The children made their own
cornucopias and filled them with things they are thankful for.
After the morning recess we had Show and Share, Ms. Whitehead read a story
called Thanksgiving Rules and I introduced the children to their new
WORD RINGS! (JK parents ~ you will learn more about these later!)
We ate an early lunch today as about half of the school’s students were
attending the Dufferin Cross-country meet and they had to be fed early!
After the long recess I met the Kindergarten students outside and we
planted 35 tulip bulbs! We came inside and talked about what would happen to
the bulbs now and discussed reasons why they may not grow at all. It was an
enlightening conversation!!!
Ms. W. read another Thanksgiving book that was funny and silly and the
children had some free choice time.
Have a good evening!
