A Wonderful Trip to the Orchard!

Following Ms. Nia down a hill and up a hill to the orchard!

This wooden box weighs almost 1000 pounds when full of apples!

We dug an imaginary hole and planted some apple seeds.
The rain and the sun made the tree grow!

Good listening!

The bees do their job of pollinating the Apple blossoms

A really bumpy wagon ride!

Farmer Scott talked about getting the apples from the trees to the cooler to the store.

Apple picking time ~ The MacIntosh Apples are ready!

The class got to bring a pumpkin back to the school!

Time in the Orchard's play area ... no one wanted to leave!

CURRENT UNIT OF INQUIRY: More Than A Feeling!

Central Idea: We can express our feelings/emotions in many different ways.

Today the children were introduced to a program called Kelso's Choices. It is an excellent program about dealing with big and small problems. There is lots of info on the internet and I wish I had learned about it years ago! We watched some scenarios on the web and how Kelso helped the children solve their small problems.
