A MOIST Monday!!

The day began as usual, in the gym. Brooke was our leader and performed all of her duties well! 

In Math JK’s and SK’s both worked on an apple counting and number printing booklet. (JK~ 1-5; SK ~ 5-10, including writing number words!) 

Today I used our Language Arts time to do some alphabet “testing.” JK’s traced and printed the upper case letters: SK’s matched upper and lowercase letters to each other and printed the alphabet by memory. Each of the SK’s also did the DRA (Developmental Reading Assessment) program with me today. These type of activities provide me with insights into what each child needs to move forward!

In Gym, we worked with small balls and practiced throwing them against a wall and catching them after one floor bounce. We also practiced hopping on two feet and then one!

The day ended with French with Mme. V. The children are learning some apple vocabulary.
