A “MIZZLY” Thursday

We had a very busy day!

Opening  Exercises in the Gym. Hollie was our leader today and did a good job with “Follow-the-Leader” and calendar time.

In Language Arts we did the Sound Pail for “short a” ~~ well done everyone! Today was also our day to learn to print “a.” JK’s did a fun tracing activity and SK’s printed in their printing books.

At Math time the SK’s worked cooperatively on a floor puzzle of the world. JK’s worked with me, making number apple trees!

                 

                                      

For our UOI, we read the book called The Seasons of Arnold’s Apple Tree. Four groups of children, each one led by an SK student, created apple tree posters ~ one for each season. Wonderful collaboration for the most part!

                

               

               

                                             

The children were allowed a little extra free choice time today as I am currently testing students on letter recognition!
