A Balmy Thursday!
This morning Mr. Playford chose staff and students who had ever sung in a choir to sing O'Canada to the rest of the school population! I thought we sounded pretty good!!! ;)
In Math we reviewed the characteristics of a balance scale and did a teeter totter activity. JK students drew sets of things that are lighter and heavier. SK students wrote sentences using those two words, based on the teeter totter activity.
In Language Arts we did Sound Pail for the "ar" sound and discovered that Charlotte, Karmin and Reed Hartway could all have been in the Sound Pail today! We printed the letter "v".
This afternoon we began practicing, in earnest, for the Spring Concert! The children then had to create some kind of vehicle using a building toy of their choice. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy!
Building a ferry and port!
So proud of his car! He says: "Come and check this out!!"
Working seriously on building a tractor!
Great scooter!
A fancy truck!
Great cooperation here! They made several designs!
This is during free choice time ... we have a very serious fisherman here!! Enjoy your night! See you tomorrow!
