Ice Cream Truck Day!
Our day began in the gym
as usual. Karmin was our leader and led us through some great exercises before
starting our day! (including cartwheels!) Calendar went smoothly.
At Math time we
continued to experiment with the balance scale and mass. Students did a simple
activity to show me that they understand how a balance scale works.
In Language Arts we
learned the sound of “ar”. Both Grades did a skill-appropriate activity.
This afternoon we
discussed how we would travel if going to different places and activities and
realized that often we have to use more than one method of transportation to “get
there!”
We went outside for gym
but the ice cream truck arrived before we could get much practicing done and we
got to be first in line for our treats! Thank you to the Kosowan family for
this special event!
Eating our treats took us past recess. We had a short free choice time. I have started having the children pack up earlier so that we can have some singing time at the end of the day just before home. It seems to make dismissal just a little bit less hectic!
| A few of the children chose to build vehicles during their free choice time! They did a great job and spent considerable time re-designing their original creations! |
Have a super evening!
