Finally .. a "regular" day!

We met in the gym and the opening assembly was led by Mr. Hunt.

Samuel was our classroom leader today. He did a great job with the calendar routines.We are learning a poem called "Chicken Soup With Rice" by Maurice Sendak. We add a new verse each month. This is a classic! The leader gets to point to the words while the rest of us read!

Yum! Valentine cookies!

 SK's had a 3 minute drill in number printing in sequence. I "conferenced " with each SK to look at their work and to determine things to work on and to acknowledge their successes. The JK's worked on a colour-design activity. Later we did a classroom "sort" and decorated for Valentine's time. This was very exciting! The children are very busy these days, writing  notes and drawing pictures for each other! Several of them have found special mailbox space in our 3-D structure! Ms. Perry helped the children choose new Library books.
We used the parachute in gym today - an exercise in listening and cooperation for sure!
They had French at the end of the day.
