Valentine week begins!

Following opening exercises in the gym we headed to the classroom to do some Valentine seat work before having calendar time with Grace and weekend news! The students were excited about the lunch time bake sale! We "brainstormed" for Valentine words today and worked on creating "I Love ..." mini posters.We used scoops and balls at gym time. The students learned some Valentine vocabulary at French time as seen in the picture below!

CURRENT UNIT OF INQUIRY: More Than A Feeling!

Central Idea: We can express our feelings/emotions in many different ways.

Today the children were introduced to a program called Kelso's Choices. It is an excellent program about dealing with big and small problems. There is lots of info on the internet and I wish I had learned about it years ago! We watched some scenarios on the web and how Kelso helped the children solve their small problems.
