 Welcome Monday!

Our day began in the gym with a "hearty" good morning to each other!
Aiden was our leader today and did a great job with all calendar routines. Thanks to his Mom we are doing a daily countdown to Christmas. As well we are doing a count-up to 100's day which will happen about mid-February!

18 days until Christmas!
For Math time today we did a quick review on the difference between 2-D and 3-D shapes and then the children worked with the large wooden blocks and took turns using the mini geometric solids!

This is the start of our structure built from geometric solids!
We need lots more boxes and tubes! (We are calling them rectangular prisms and cylinders!!)
Following snack and recess we did a rehearsal for the concert and played the "new words" game! The class won by a score of 22-9! See our new words for the week on the side bar!
The SK's worked on finishing up some pages in their Colour Book ... we've been compiling it since September! The JK's worked on a Triangle -based pyramid Santa craft!
In the afternoon, many students chose a Christmas activity for their free choice time. We went to the gym and practiced with scoops and balls. Today was a French day and the students did a colour word activity with Mme. V.

Wishing you a great evening!
