Christmas Concert Wednesday!

We started our day in the classroom today as the gym is full of chairs for tonight's concert! We had the chance to sing our own O'Canada and we talked a bout what "a minute of quiet reflection" actually means!

Aiden did claendar as Leon had not arrived yet! At Math time, the JK's created pictures using precut shapes. The SK's did addition stories, with their white boards and Christmas shapes. They learned that there are TOWER and TRAIN shaped number stories!

 

I read a story called "Wake Up, Santa Claus!" In Language Arts, the JK's drew pictures of things they would like for Christmas, while the SK's did their Term 2 OWA Pre-test. The results of this assessment show me what we need to work on in writing before the end of term 2. We also exchanged our library books today.

 

Following the long recess, the class had a short practice with Mdme. V. and the Gr. 1/2 class for tonight's performance. We had a quick practice too!

Students had a slightly extended free choice time today while I read with several students and helped some finish up some work.

The day ended with FRENCH!
