Hello! Happy 50th school day!!
We had a good start to our day, explaining to the school why we were dressed in 50's garb! Everyone looked awesome! Reed was our leader and did a great job with calendar. We looked at pictures from the way things were in the 50's. Thank you to Shylah for bringing in a collection of things that were created in the 50's ... like Teflon, Cinderella and Barbie! The students drew a picture of their collection of 50 things! It was a great activity that required some problem-solving in order to go smoothly.
We had a special 50th-day snack today (not too exciting but all I could manage today!)
I read the story called 50 Below Zero by Robert Munsch. JK students were "tested" on their Upper and Lower case letter recognition today and the SK's did a Read, Stamp and Print activity for the sight word "the." This afternoon we listened to some Rock 'n Roll during free time and clean up!
Have a great evening!
