Casual Day Wednesday!

The day started as usual in the gym! Reed was our leader today and led us back to the classroom and to the completion of morning jobs.  Well done with calendar skills, Reed!

We sang the colour song ... as we always do on Casual Day! During Math time, the students used white boards and we practiced the correct formation of numbers 0-10. We learned a new sound today ... the sound of "short o" (the only one this week)  SOUND PAIL tomorrow! JK's completed a skill-sheet by filling in some missing "o's". SK's read and matched 10 "short o" words to the appropriate pictures. We visited the library and had a story called The Nutty Nut Chase! Everyone was able to choose a new library book today. In the afternoon, Ms. Perry and Ms. Nixon supervised the children while I did some Report Card work. They went to the gym and from the sounds coming through the wall to the library, they were having a great time! The day ended with French. Don't forget that if you would like to speak with Mdme. next week regarding your child's French marks, she is at The Maples on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
