A Wednesday Welcome!!!
It was a mixed -up day today with the whole school photo outside at 8:50. Later, in the middle of morning snack, we were called to the gym for individual pictures!
Brooke was our leader today and had her first experience leading us through calendar time. Well, done, Brooke!
We sang a few "wiggly songs" and had to skip Math today because of the change in schedule.
In Language Arts we sang the SOUND PAIL song and reviewed the sound of "s-s-s-s" . Thanks to all the children who remembered to bring things in for S.P. Today we had a sock, sanitizer, a star and lots of snakes! The students also had their first formal printing lesson for the year. I have decided to change-up my usual letter-printing order and teach the same letter that we are learning in Phonics. SK's have a very special Printing workbook. JK's made a rainbow "S" today.
French was held from 1-2 today and because of the schedule change we were not able to get to the gym. Instead there were new choices during Centres.
As I predicted, everyone is extremely tired and so there were lots of unexpected tears today! I asked the children when it would be my turn to cry! In actual fact, I am so pleased with how well the class is working together. :) :)
