Wednesday in Kindergarten

Following all Opening activities in the gym we returned to the classroom for calendar and our own morning routines. Grace was our leader today. We are practicing for the Spring Concert, coming up on June 2^nd!

JK and SK students worked in their journals this morning, drawing and writing stories about doing something with family. We checked out everyone’s measuring homework and finished the Three Bears posters at Math time. JK's were to cut and paste the 3 sizes of different items. SK's were asked to draw 3 sizes of their choice of items for the bears. Everyone did a great job!

In the afternoon we worked on our current UOI.

Enjoy your evening!

CURRENT UNIT OF INQUIRY: More Than A Feeling!

Central Idea: We can express our feelings/emotions in many different ways.

Today the children were introduced to a program called Kelso's Choices. It is an excellent program about dealing with big and small problems. There is lots of info on the internet and I wish I had learned about it years ago! We watched some scenarios on the web and how Kelso helped the children solve their small problems.
