And yet another WET and WINDY Wednesday!

Immediately following O’ Canada and House Point collection, we welcomed our visitor, Officer Paul! The Grade 1/2 class joined us in our room as well, for a session of information, questions and story-telling! We went outside in the wind and rain to check out his cruiser!

At Math time we reviewed the 4 2-D and 3-D figures we have learned so far and then students experienced working with geo-boards, some for the first time!

We made cut and paste police cars for Art.

Pre-K

At Gym time we ran and ran and ran to use up some “spare energy!” Ms. Egan taught us some kid-friendly yoga moves today as well!

CURRENT UNIT OF INQUIRY: More Than A Feeling!

Central Idea: We can express our feelings/emotions in many different ways.

Today the children were introduced to a program called Kelso's Choices. It is an excellent program about dealing with big and small problems. There is lots of info on the internet and I wish I had learned about it years ago! We watched some scenarios on the web and how Kelso helped the children solve their small problems.
