Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

We had a very quiet day today, as the rest of the school went to St. Jude's for Public Speaking! Also due to numerous absent students, I chose to use today to do a bit of report card testing! We read Cat in the Hat in celebration of Dr. Seuss and spent some time making pairs of rhyming words. We also made a Cat in the Hat decoration! I am not posting any pictures today as I am working from my home computer and it is So-o-o-o SLOW!

Please see the side panels for info about tomorrow!

Have a good evening ..

at least what is left of it!

CURRENT UNIT OF INQUIRY: More Than A Feeling!

Central Idea: We can express our feelings/emotions in many different ways.

Today the children were introduced to a program called Kelso's Choices. It is an excellent program about dealing with big and small problems. There is lots of info on the internet and I wish I had learned about it years ago! We watched some scenarios on the web and how Kelso helped the children solve their small problems.
