A very Happy and Prosperous (Chinese) New Year to all!

In Language today we reviewed number words from zero to twelve.

If you hear your child talking about STUDENT TOOLS .. this is what it looks like!

At Math time we did a skill-sheet using the two parts of dominoes to make up addition stories. Excellent work JK and SK!

FRENCH with Mdme. V.

After the lunch recess .. and our wonderful feast from Sushi Kaika ... we read a short info book about Chinese New Year. Ms. Armitage instructed the children on the dragon craft she had planned.

Reading and free choice play rounded out the day.

CURRENT UNIT OF INQUIRY: More Than A Feeling!

Central Idea: We can express our feelings/emotions in many different ways.

Today the children were introduced to a program called Kelso's Choices. It is an excellent program about dealing with big and small problems. There is lots of info on the internet and I wish I had learned about it years ago! We watched some scenarios on the web and how Kelso helped the children solve their small problems.
