What? .. Friday already???

Everyone in the class received 500 House Points for getting shoes on and being in the gym for O’ Canada!  It was a great Friday motivator!

Samuel was our leader today. Good job! He just knew we needed to add 

# 83 to the "How many days at School?" chart by looking at the pattern in the numbers so far:)

The SK’s did their dictation (with a focus on “ay”) and the JK’s worked on printing the upper case letters that matched the lower case ones.

A printing lesson followed. The letter “S,s” is tricky to print but everyone did a super job!

We had a short Math time in which the children had 3minutes to print their numbers from 1 to ?? This activity works as a tool and helps me to recognize if students have yet internalized the numbers in order to recall and print them easily.

The children were beside themselves with excitement for skating and could hardly wait for the bus to arrive! I will put some pictures on the blog next week!
