It’s Thursday!
Opening
Ex. and House Point Collection in the gym
In the classroom,
Grace took us through the calendar routines and we followed her finger-pointing
as we read the Chicken Soup verse, January. Today is Day #82!
During
Language Arts the SK’s did their OWA (Ontario Writing Assessment) and the JK’s
printed lower case letters to match the upper case letters on the page!
Sorry ... I missed one of the SK's but they were all very focused on doing this task (OWA) and gaining confidence with their individual abilities to communicate ideas in print!
At Math time we
completed the next phase on our 3-D clocks and practiced again with adding
hands to analog clocks to match the digital time.
Our
story today was Deep Snow, by Robert Munsch. Everyone really enjoyed
this “funny” story! We discussed why we have winter here in Canada and used the
globe and a very tiny flashlight for the sun!! J
Everyone is very
excited about skating tomorrow! Remember to send your child to school with
skates and a helmet or meet
us at the arena at approx. 2:45 with the skates and helmet!
Enjoy
your Thursday evening! We intend to visit 2 of our Granddaughters before dinner
time ... the newest one is already 5 weeks old and growing like crazy!
