A
Snowy Thursday!
We
began our day in the classroom with Opening Exercises and announcements. Charlotte took us through the
calendar routines. Charlotte did a great job of
following the chart patterns to determine that we needed #68 today!
The
JK/SK group worked on a "colour- by -shape" Gingerbread house and we talked about
why they should all look the same but could still be somewhat different as
well! (different shades of colours) Following recess we read the story Gingerbread
Bear and everyone helped to fill in the words when I stopped reading! Then
we made paper bag gingerbread man puppets.
In
the afternoon when the students were in and settled after a long, cold recess,
we had hot chocolate and Gingerbread man cookies for a special treat … sort of a celebration for a job, well done,
at the concert!
It was a hot chocolate and gingerbread kind of day!
It was a hot chocolate and gingerbread kind of day!
The
children were very tired today so we had some extra free choice time and centers.
There is a lot of creativity going on between the writing center and Christmas stenciling
and dramatizations with castles and stuffies!!
Thank
you for your support at the concert! We hope to see some of you at the
Christmas lunch tomorrow! Enjoy the rest of your evening!
