A Busy and Productive Day!

Following calendar this morning the children got busy with a "short vowels" poster. They did an excellent job and it gave me the chance to test everyone individually on their phonics. The "test" did not include any long vowel sounds or digraphs, just the sounds of all single letters. Everyone did really, really well and I was so pleased with that!

We spent a little extra time outside today cheering on our Maples athletes and were also able to get a good start on painting our flowers to help decorate the gym for the Spring Concert!

The day was over "in a flash" and time for a quick concert prep. Time to pack up and head home for the weekend!
