What a beautiful day!

Our day began as usual! Jonathan was our leader and gave us a good “workout” in the gym. All students did their morning jobs ~ they are getting really great at gluing the daily message into their agendas with little assistance. 

 Following calendar, we sang the colour song (because of Casual day!) For Math we continued with graphing by creating a colour graph relating to the colours we wore today!

Our story today was called “A Very Unusual Dog.” It was a really cute story about an imaginary dog, a boy named Jonathan and his big sister, Elizabeth! The children thought that was really funny!

In Language Arts we had Sound Pail for the “long e” sound. JK’s and SK’s did a skill-sheet that required them to read words containing “long e.” I am so delighted with the progress I am seeing all of a sudden. 

I always forget that this is the time of the year when students “blossom!!!”  J

In Gym this afternoon we practiced two kinds of skipping ~ the step-and-a-hop type and the skipping rope type! We’re getting ready for Spring!

Our day concluded with French!
