A Wet and Windy Friday

MATH TIME ~ (above)

finding things in the classroom that were longer and shorter than the popsicle stick.

In LANGUAGE ARTS the children copied "I like" from the chalkboard and then finished their sentence and drew the picture to illustrate.

ART TIME: ~ Great following step-by-step instructions to create fire trucks! I really wanted them for a bulletin board display but the children were so excited to make them and wanted to take them home to show their families! Alas - no one left any behind for me ! :( (By the way, you can see a few of the sillies we had today!)

CURRENT UNIT OF INQUIRY: More Than A Feeling!

Central Idea: We can express our feelings/emotions in many different ways.

Today the children were introduced to a program called Kelso's Choices. It is an excellent program about dealing with big and small problems. There is lots of info on the internet and I wish I had learned about it years ago! We watched some scenarios on the web and how Kelso helped the children solve their small problems.
