A Blustery Monday

It was a quiet day with several students absent for different reasons. Following morning jobs and calendar with our leader, Kole, we learned the sound of "long i." Sound Pail tomorrow for things containing the "long i " sound as in kite, file, light!

At Math time the students sorted 2-D and 3-D pictures into two different columns. This turned out to be a very difficult task, with just cause! On paper, all objects seem to be 2-dimensional!

In the afternoon, I read a Valentine story and we learned how to create hearts by folding paper and cutting a cone shape on the fold! The children decorated their hearts with my supply of Valentine decorations!

The day ended with some free choice time and reading.
