A lovely SUNNY Monday!

Following opening in the gym we did morning jobs and had calendar with our leader, Madison! We also had weekend news when the children get to tell me the best part of their weekend! They get a charge out of telling me they were “Couch Potatoes” even though I know that is not necessarily true!

We learned the sound of “J,j” today ~ SOUND PAIL tomorrow for things that start with the “j” sound.

Today’s story was called Snow Bears.

This afternoon we learned more about the sun. I asked them where the sun went at night! Some of the answers were pretty cute! ~ Like: “It cools off in the lake!” In the end they learned that the sun doesn’t go anywhere, the Earth just revolves so we are no longer facing it, giving us night! They worked on blending yellow, orange and red to colour the sun and each student wrote one of the facts about what the sun does for us on Earth.

The day ended with free choice time – many were involved again in presenting a puppet show that never really happened! The fun is in setting up the chairs, cutting up tickets and making props!
