A Wonderful
Wednesday!
It was a mixed up day! We
started with a whole school picture outside in the playground. Gr. 7&8
students came to the classroom to watch the students while the staff had their
picture done. In the classroom, we sang O’ Canada on our own and had a moment of
silent reflection. We talked about how to act during each of these activities
and the focus words were “RESPECT For Others.”
Kole did a good job as leader for his very first time in JK!
We sang some movement songs
and by then it was already time for snack! We ended up having our class and
individual pictures done during the morning recess. I read the story called “Brewster
Rooster” ~ about a little rooster growing up and finding his “cocka-doodle-doo”
and he saved the farm!
We had our first formal
printing lesson today~ the letter “c.” SK’s worked in their printing books. JK’s
did a “c” skill-sheet. This is the first of several letters that all start with
the same motion.
Following the lunch recess,
the children had some free choice time and then we went outside for gym time.
We practiced kicking a ball today. Mme. V. spent the last period of the day with
them.
| French time! Learning new vocabulary and making French sounds! Mme. calls it "gymnastics" for the mouth!!! |
Have a super evening!
I hope to see you at the BBQ!
