Hello!

The entire class shared the job of completing calendar work today .. as our leader was not yet at school! It is School Day # 82! I haven't actually counted the days, but this school year has already reached the halfway mark!

In Math, the JK's did a number skill-sheet and the SK's started to create their personal books about time called "My Day." This is going to be an exciting project!

In Language Arts they learned to print "r" and we went to the "Library" to choose new books.

Our focus today in our UOI was on birds. I set out several dozen books about birds and then we listed all of the things that are common to all birds. Finally I asked them to tell me about all of the birds you might find on a farm. We had fun "putting our thinking caps on!!"
