We began our day in the gym as usual. Brooke was our leader-of-the-day and did a good job with calendar time. We had weekend news (to get it out of our systems!)followed by Math. Students made their analog clocks match my digital times to the hour and half hour! Many of the students are getting very good at this! We will be working on creating Grandfather clocks this week - complete with a mouse!

We practised our speeches during Language Arts. I read a short story about Martin Luther King Jr. and we made Peace doves using our hands prints for the wings.

The children went outside for 15 minute of the lunchtime recess and then came inside for the rest of the recess time. At Gym time we practised the scissor jump using vinyl circles placed appropriately on the floor. This is very tricky for the younger children, but I observed improvement as we worked at it! Today was a French day!
