Hello October!

This morning O`Canada was sung over the sound system by the Grade 7 & 8 class! The Kinders didn`t know what to think of that and flew straight into a great round of giggles!

THURSDAY ...Some free time fun!

Working so hard!

Thursday calendar with Reed

Today Samuel took us through the calendar routines.

We played colour and shape Bingo for Math time today.

At language time we tried a new activity called `Talk Time` where students choose a picture and told a story about it. They all did a fantastic job using their imaginations and told great stories to each other!

Our classroom has now been converted for tomorrow`s events!

Hope to see you here!

CURRENT UNIT OF INQUIRY: More Than A Feeling!

Central Idea: We can express our feelings/emotions in many different ways.

Today the children were introduced to a program called Kelso's Choices. It is an excellent program about dealing with big and small problems. There is lots of info on the internet and I wish I had learned about it years ago! We watched some scenarios on the web and how Kelso helped the children solve their small problems.
