Good Day All!

Opening Exercises in The Gym with Mr. Hunt this morning! We showed our appreciation to Mrs. Ruby for coordinating the Fall Festival. It will be another busy week with the Dufferin Cross Country event for Grades 1-8, The Kindergarten Apple Orchard trip, Thanksgiving desserts on Thursday and a PD / teacher training day on Friday.

At Math time the students reinforced their understanding of patterns by creating a feather pattern on a turkey's tail!

Following Sharing with Aiden and Grace, snack time and recess, we learned the colour word "blue." SK's did a skill-sheet for their colour book and JK's made blue collage frames for some special work to follow.

This afternoon we had free choice time, and gym. The children demonstrated their footwork skills such as side-slide, scissor jumps, hopping and skipping.

The day concluded with Mdme. V and FRENCH!

CURRENT UNIT OF INQUIRY: More Than A Feeling!

Central Idea: We can express our feelings/emotions in many different ways.

Today the children were introduced to a program called Kelso's Choices. It is an excellent program about dealing with big and small problems. There is lots of info on the internet and I wish I had learned about it years ago! We watched some scenarios on the web and how Kelso helped the children solve their small problems.
