Happy Tuesday!

We had a great day today! It seems everyone had a very busy weekend! According to one child, her Dad was in Texas for the Jays game yesterday but got home in time for supper last night! (wink, wink!)

At Math time, we discovered so many patterns right in our classroom, including the ceiling tiles and the horizontal window blinds! We started to learn a poem called "Patterns Everywhere!"

In Language Arts we learned the sound of "N,n" and printed lower case "i".

Our Unit of Inquiry was a discussion about our senses (see the side panel)

CURRENT UNIT OF INQUIRY: More Than A Feeling!

Central Idea: We can express our feelings/emotions in many different ways.

Today the children were introduced to a program called Kelso's Choices. It is an excellent program about dealing with big and small problems. There is lots of info on the internet and I wish I had learned about it years ago! We watched some scenarios on the web and how Kelso helped the children solve their small problems.
