A Tuesday Disappointment!
We began the day by deciding to postpone our Apple Orchard trip. It seems that we should not necessarily believed the weather report after all ... though I'm not sure of what conditions were like in Caledon East! The students were very disappointed and we had tears and lots of explaining to do :( The trip will now take place next Wednesday,
October 7. The new permission form will be ready and in tomorrow's agenda.
Brooke was our leader today and she led us through calendar time!
In Math we talked more about patterns. The SK's did a leaf pattern and JK's did a simpler task as they are still learning what patterns are.
We learned a new sound today .. the sound of "short i". We have Sound Pail for this sound tomorrow! We practiced making words with all of the sounds we have learned so far. We made upper and lower case "I,i" with play dough.
The students each wrote one sentence on an apple and we created a tree on the Unit Of Inquiry board.
