Tuesday!
O’Canada
was led by a drum beat and all students who have at least one older sibling. I
was not one of them!! After handing in our House Points we went to the
classroom for the completion of morning jobs and calendar. Kate was our leader
today. We welcomed a visiting student who was in our class all day and I reminded
everyone to help her to feel comfortable!
We
learned a new sound in Language Arts ~ the sound of “ou/ow”. Students worked on
corresponding skill-sheets.
In
Math, Ms. A. did a lesson on place value using goldfish crackers ~ sets of 10
on a stick in a fishbowl and single fish in a pond!
After
lunch we heard the story called Grow,
Seed, Grow . Ms. Armitage “planted” seeds in plastic baggies and taped
them to the window to create mini greenhouses. We went for a walk in the school
yard and used all of our senses to find signs of spring. Tomorrow we will document some of our findings!
Have a great evening!
