Happy Monday!

Welcome back!

Opening and welcome in the gym! We recognized a few student’s for their achievements since we were together last. House Points were collected.

In the classroom, Grace was our leader. We added the number 117 to our school days chart! We also had a fairly long chat about March Break News!  It seems like quite a few families had a lot going on!

The JK/SK group played the New Word game with me to discover the words being added to the word ring this week. They won: 25-9 J

At Math time we started learning about ordinal positions and ordinal words (first, second, third, etc.) This will be a short unit and then we will be starting geometry, working with 2 and 3-D shapes.

At Gym time we practiced skipping and rolling hula hoops. It ended up that I rolled each hoop and the students ran after their own in a race with it! Lots of great fun and energy-burning activity!

Free choice time went well with everyone seeming to be very happy to be back together again!

PLEASE send extra socks and mitts to school if your child doesn’t already have some here. The next few weeks are likely to be very wet by the time noon rolls around. Today we had to miss the 2 p.m. recess because so many of the children were soaked!
