day # 99!

Opening Ex. in the gym as usual! Mr. P. announced the news about our representatives at the Legion Public Speaking competition yesterday. Bravo, girls!

In the classroom, Gunner was our leader and did a great job of leading us through the calendar routines. Everyone is very excited to see that we are just one day away from 100!

We played the “new word” game and the students beat me again! (19 for them-12, for me) This game is how I introduce the new word ring words for the week! Students then worked with the word “you” and some had a chance to write in their journals using the story starter “If snowflakes were made of  (flavour)  ice cream, I would .....”

Following the lunch recess I read the story called Tacky and the Emperor.   For our UOI time we talked about what we already know about penguins.

During gym time we started to learn how to use a skipping rope ... in anticipation that spring really is right around the corner!

This truck was a huge hit with everyone!

These girls chose to make Valentine "books."

Addison chose to play with some new toys we have in the room!
