Fantastic Friday!

Opening Ex. in the Gym, along with extra House points for wearing House tees or hoodies!
On our way to the classroom we found matching pairs of shoes and boots and lined them up neatly in the hall.
There was another change in schedule today and the K class went to French at 9:30! But just before they left for French class, we poured our melted snow through a filter to see just how CLEAN the snow really was!

YUCK!

At 10 we had time for a quick calendar exercise with Karmin, our leader-of-the-day! Snack and indoor recess followed.

The SK’s had spelling dictation while the JK’s did some art for our room.  Our special event of the day was to invite the Grade 3/4 class in to help us with a prediction and graph called “Will the groundhog see his shadow?” We talked about what a prediction is and then each chose a “yes” or “no” answer. We made cartoon style groundhogs and placed them on a graph! The majority believe he will see his shadow on Monday!

Karmin (and Kate) helped with the title!
The final result!

Following another indoor recess we listened to a couple of stories (on tape) and did a music activity in the classroom. We went to the gym to expend some extra energy before having birthday circle. There are only 4 January birthdays in the school and 2 of them are from our room!

Free choice play and home time!

MUSIC time!
