Fantastic Friday!
Opening Ex. and House Point collection
this morning first thing! I don’t know if your child has told you this, but our
class makes a point of stopping, every day, on our way back to class, to match
up pairs and to straighten up all of the outdoor footwear in 2 different areas!
Then we get the rest
of our morning jobs (lunch box and agenda to the classroom, water bottle filled
and ready) done before meeting at the calendar for our good morning song,
attendance and calendar time with the leader of the day. Today’s leader was
Gunner ... good job!!
In Phonics time we did SOUND PAIL for the sound of “b”. Jk’s
coloured a large “B” and put bears on it! SK’s had their spelling dictation. Following snack and morning recess, we learned about the nickel and
practised counting by 5’s! We did a skill-sheet to reinforce the skip counting.
I read the children a story called The Grumpy Badger. We had some of our gym time and got ready for last recess.
Following recess we went to the French room to practice with Gr 1&2 for the
concert. We also visited their classroom to see their “DINOSAUR EXHIBIT!” Super- duper
job, Gr. 1’s and 2’s!!
Back in the class room we worked for a
while on our props for the concert and it was home time in a flash!
Just a reminder that the Gr. 4/5 class
is collecting food for the O’ville Food Bank and our school-wide Christmas
dinner is next Fri., Dec. 12.
Have a wonderful
weekend!
