Happy Hallowe’en!

All of the Kinders were especially excited today! (of course) We did O’ Canada  and a moment of silent reflection in our own classroom this morning. Karmin did a great job of leading us through the calendar routines.

We did the Sound Pail for the sound of “r.”

Katie had brought in cookies for us the ice and decorate, so we did that next and most of the children ate theirs for snack! The little witch in this picture, just ate the sprinkles!

Our story after recess was called “Hallowe’en Cats.” Following story it was time for FRENCH.

Right after French, we went to the Gym for a parade of costumes. We marched with our House Team. All of the costumes were excellent. Some of our students and their parents have such amazing and creative talents! J I am always greatly impressed!

Birhday Circle, to celebrate all October birthdays, was next. Happy Birthday to Addison in our class! (Oct. 12) Students were asked to save their birthday cookies to eat after their lunch!?!?

After another indoor recess, our Grade 7/8 buddies arrived in our room to make Candy Corn Pals! Please see the pictures included here. Upon conclusion of their craft, the Kindergarten students chose books for their buddies to read to them. It was wonderful!

For the last portion of the day I just let the class have free choice activities. They were ready for some “Quiet” time before their big night out!

Enjoy the weekend!
