Happy Turkey Thursday!

Today we started with O’ Canada and House points in the Gym.

Calendar with Sarah!

We sang along with the Jolly Phonics Jingles for the letters s, a, t, i and p.

Phonics- PS & JK: Making pizzas using letter P ingredients- pepperoni, peppers and pineapple SK: Identifying which words have the sound of P at the beginning and which have the sound at the end.

Our story for the day- "This is the Turkey"

Making our own turkeys out of potatoes, paper and feathers!

CURRENT UNIT OF INQUIRY: More Than A Feeling!

Central Idea: We can express our feelings/emotions in many different ways.

Today the children were introduced to a program called Kelso's Choices. It is an excellent program about dealing with big and small problems. There is lots of info on the internet and I wish I had learned about it years ago! We watched some scenarios on the web and how Kelso helped the children solve their small problems.
