Everyone is always excited to be together again on Monday mornings! Following Opening Exercises, we shared the highlights of our weekend with each other. Orla is leader today and she added the last number to the March calendar and we all said good-bye to March 2014 forever! We played the "Words-of-the-Week" game and I lost once again. My students are such "Smarty Pants!!" We started working on a mini-book called "What Does Bunny Do?" Then it was snack time, recess and story time. We read the story called "The Sugaring Off Party". Then it was French time with Mdme. V., followed by Math. We are starting to learn about odd and even numbers.
Right after lunch we had a chat about being responsible for our belongings, our words and actions. Then we went to the Gym for some stretching and a new game of tag called Elves and Fairies that my grand-daughter taught me on the weekend! It was time for the last recess of the day, followed by Show and Share with Matthew and Georgia. Play dough was set out for free choice activity time as well as a homemade book called "Signs of Spring." The class photo album is now updated and some children chose to have a look at it.
Clean up, pack up and dismissal at 3:20. Have a great evening everyone!
