Welcome Monday!
Our morning began in the gym as usual. Madison was the leader today and did a great job with calendar! We had a special visitor when we arrived at school! We named him Mistletoe! We have written him a message to give to Santa tonight when he returns to the North Pole. We are presuming he's magic because he moved around in the classroom today ... even covered up with a cloth and had a nap! We want to know if Santa was pleased with our kindness to each other today. I hope we get a positive response!

At Math time we started our new Unit ~ Geometry and Spatial Sense. The children were given an envelope of shapes printed on cards and were asked to sort them into categories. They were also asked to report their "sorting rule" to the class. Aiden was busy here, counting sides on each shape!
In language Arts today, we learned the sound of "hard g-g-g." We have learned 14 sounds to date! Students did age appropriate work following the lesson.
We played with our new mini-hula hoops in Gym today, including a game of Foax and Squirrel.
 A free choice activity below!

The day concluded with French!

Enjoy your evening!
