It’s
Friday again!!
(Where do the weeks
go?)
We had a lot of
students away today so, following morning jobs, and calendar with Reed, we sorted
markers and made sure they each had the correct lid. Then we sorted a big bin
of my Hallowe’en stuff so we could get it out of the classroom and into the
attic! After all, it is now time to get the Christmas decorations out!
In Language Arts we
had Sound Pail for the sound of m-m-m. Every student brought something and they
were all different!
We learned how to
spell PURPLE and each grade did their own skill-sheet. The SK’s are compiling
their colour worksheets in a booklet.
Following lunch
recess, we started to learn about Nunavut. I asked the children why it is so cold in the Arctic.
We went into the boys DARK change room with the globe and a flashlight so I
could show them how little light (and heat) reaches the Arctic regions as the Earth turns
and revolves around the light (sun). I’d like to hear from you if they talk about
it at home! The children coloured the flag for Nunavut.
We had Birthday Circle
today and French at the end of the day.
Please sign and return
the last page of the report card!
Remember to sign up for a Parent/Teacher
conference!
Have a wonderful weekend!
