A great Monday!
It was another one of those "mixed up" days! and BUSY!!
We had the beginning of February assembly today. Perfect attendance for January was recognized and Principal's Choice in each class were announced. Mr. Playford will let us know when the DQ lunch will happen. It won't be this week! The Attitudes and Attribute for February are Cooperation / Creativity and Open Mindedness. The student body listened to the story called "The Crayon Box That Talked."
Mde. V. was in charge of House games today and everyone had a good time watching, cheering and playing.
By the time we returned to the classroom it was time for calendar with our leader, Aiden and then snack time! Following recess we had sharing and then we talked about Groundhog Day tomorrow and made predictions as to whether the groundhog would or would not see his shadow. We also polled the Grade 1/2 class and graphed the predictions. Five students predict 6 more weeks of Winter. Eleven students predict Spring is just around the corner!
This afternoon we had French from 1-2. Those who will be speaking in the gym on Wednesday, practiced their speeches for us. The remainder of the day was spent in catching up with reading to me and free choice activities.
Have a great evening!
